Itinerary
Highlights of Cappadocia – North
Discover the highlights of Cappadocia on this full-day guided tour, sometimes called Red Tour because of the colour of the rocks in North Cappadocia. Your professional guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel around 09:30..
The day begins at the Uçhisar Panorama, a stunning viewpoint overlooking Uçhisar Castle, where you will learn about the region’s rich history and its extraordinary volcanic landscape.
Continue to the Göreme Open Air Museum, the most iconic site in Cappadocia, famous for its rock-cut churches and ancient frescoes.
Afterwards, enjoy lunch in a local restaurant. Following lunch, we make several scenic stops, including Devrent Valley with its animal-shaped rock formations, and Pasabag (Monks Valley), home to Cappadocia’s famous mushroom-shaped fairy chimneys and St. Simeon’s rock-hewn hermitage. We then continue to Love Valley for more unforgettable views.
The final stop is Avanos, a charming riverside town known for 4,000 years of pottery tradition. Watch a kick-wheel pottery demonstration and try your hand at this ancient craft. You will return to your hotel at around 17:00.
